I realized recently that some of my favorite photos over at Houzz were of spaces designed by Amy Lau. So I surfed on over to her website to see what else I would find there and to learn a little bit more about who she is and what she does.
The first thing that I realized is that I'd seen and admired her work before. These shots of a West Chelsea Loft she decorated were previously featured in a magazine article that I know I have squirreled away in one of my inspiration notebooks. I love the Asian influences.
A peek at her online residential portfolio, however, reveals that she's fluent in a variety of visual styles, although there's a consistent modernist thread that seems to run through her work. She can also do wonderfully subtle (and not so subtle!) things with color and texture, as some of my other favorite images from her website demonstrate...
