a home fit for an artist

The modern design blog, The Contemporist, recently featured a fabulous project by the Austin design-build firm, KRDB. It's a new home for artist Laurie Frick -- whose work is, itself, also fabulous!

Here are a few interior shots, along with a picture of one of Laurie's collages. I love the creative use of windows in this home, as well as the plentiful built-in bookshelves and display areas for the great art collection. It's also wonderful how the lines and color palette reflect the feel of Laurie's body of work.
